My practice is multi-disciplinary and intertwines ceramic sculpture, land art, installation, performance and more.
A profound respect for nature informs my work, which explores the intricate relationship between humans and the natural world while emphasizing non-hierarchical connections with other-than-human entities. Much of my artistic process unfolds outdoors, where I engage directly with the environment, on a scale between negotiation and surrender to the landscape and the elements. I often work site-specifically near water, that embodies the interconnectedness of species, bodies and landscapes. Clay is central to my practice, with its unique material properties serving as both a medium and a metaphor—its capacity to be molded, fired, and changed by environmental forces mirrors the dynamics of nature itself. |
Min konstnärliga praktik är multidisciplinär och performativ, och omfattar fotografi, keramisk skulptur, land art och installationer, såväl som performance.
Mina metoder och processer genomsyras av en djup omsorg om naturen, och diskuterar icke-hierarkiska sätt att relatera till det fler-än-mänskliga. En stor del av arbetet tar plats utomhus, i direktkontakt med landskapet. Jag rör mig på en skala mellan förhandling och kapitulation inför elementen. Jag jobbar ofta plats-specifikt i närhet till vatten, som tydliggör hur sammanlänkade vi är; kroppar, arter, landskap. Central i min praktik är leran, med dess unika egenskaper som fungerar både som medium och metafor - dess förmåga att formas, smälta, spricka, förvandlas till sten, att förändras av omgivningens krafter speglar naturens egen dynamik. |
