Ongoing practice.
Water Talks is a multi-site-specific practice, based on a method: I ask places what they would want me to do there. I do my best to carry out their wishes. Deliberately deepening my animist tendencies, this is an artistic reprogramming to what I knew as a child: the world is alive. I change the rules of my relationship to the non-human, shed our culture and turn to the source: the place, the water. I am in their service and hope to mend some rifts in the web. |
